Writing the Last Taboo

Writing the last taboo is my conversation with author Iona Winter. We first met through flash fiction, and across the waves, we had a kōrero about Iona’s Elixir & Star 2023 Grief Almanac – a liminal gathering. We also discussed grief, suicide bereavement, living with the absence of loved ones, and Iona’s upcoming and related work, A Counter of Moons, a creative non-fiction memoir about her journey with suicide bereavement, and her new poetry collection, In the shape of his hand lay a river (Elixir & Star Press, 2024).
